A lot of people seem confused about the Himalayan breed and often think it is a separate breed from the Persian.
While there are a few differences between the two, essentially the best way to explain it is that the Himalayan is another color type of the Persian breed. Himalayans can have Persian moms and dads and vice versa.
Basically, a Himalayan is a blue eyed, Siamese marked Persian. So, Himalayans & Persians are one in the same and yes, if you have a registered Himalayan it is a purebred Persian/Himalayan.
